Guild Bank Policy

Postby nrstealth on Sun Nov 22, 2009 5:58 pm

This is the policy agreed upon by our Guild:

Preamble:
The global policy for Flux Guild Bank should be that whatever is in the Guild Bank belongs to the guild and should be used for the benefit of the guild. The overarching purpose of the guild bank is for raid progression and guild progression. As such, please do not put general items that can be easily bought on the Auction House. We do not want the bank to become a place for trash collection. Please use it for items considered a bit more valuable.

We ask that every guild member donate 1 hour per month to gather gems, orbs, herbs etc, to contribute to the guild bank.

Please note that once the item is dropped into the Guild Bank, it becomes a property of the guild bank.

Tab 1: "Freebies"
Condition to Public: Restricted to 5 stacks per day.
Freebies tab will be a generic dumping area for charitable members to throw in the stuff they don't want but think someone else in the guild might find them useful. The tab will be screened once per day to make sure nobody actually drop an expensive thing in there. Actual expensive items will be moved to their appropriate tab. Regular green gems will also be stored here.

Tab 2: "Glyphs"
Condition to Public: Restricted to 5 stacks per day
As we have a lot of glyphs lying in the Guild Bank and they are handy, we will keep them free and open for now. Glyphs seem to be very easy to make so we should keep this as a voluntary donation and inscriptionists can pitch in if they got excess inventory.

Tab 3: "Enchants Potions"
Condition to Public: Visible but No Allowance
Enchanting mats and potions and elixirs and flasks are always expensive and in high demand. As we have a lot of Abyss Crystals and other nice enchant mats, we should start advertise them to guild members so they will buy from us instead of from AH. We will, of course, sell them at half price to guild members when one of their toons gets new gear from Flux-sponsored raids. This will be kept on an honor system until abuse is noted. For potions, flasks, and elixirs, we will put some in for starter and we should use guild bank fund to buy mats or the actual potions/flasks/elixirs from AH to put more useful potion injectors and flasks in there. These will be given out to guild members that attend Flux-sponsored raids if they need them. Officers and raid leaders can remove them and distribute as needed.

Tab 4: "Gems Orbs"
Condition to Public: Visible but No Allowance
Epic and rare gems will be stored here for guild members to see and file for requisition when they get new gear. They have the privilege to buy the gems at half the price from AH market value. This is the same for Orbs. All orbs dropped in Flux-sponsored raids, including those with puggers, belong to Flux and will be stored here for future use. Since we have Onyxia 10 going on regularly as of late, we can fit the entire raid party with Flux members. As is, the gem bag Onyxia drops should belong to Flux as well. We can use the fund to boost Flux's cash reserve as well as help guild members that aren't fortunate enough to find the time to do dailies every day and would like easy access to the epic gems.

Tab 5: "Gear"
Condition to Public: Visible but No Allowance
This is where we store the good gears, like the epic BOE drops from raids. In a Flux-sponsored raid, if gear is BOE and no main-specced attendee rolled on it, it will go to off-spec. If no one wants it at that point, it will go to Guild Bank. As with our aforementioned practice, the epic gear will be sold to guild members at half price. These sales should be kept to newcomers, not army of alts unless there is a genuine need in guild raids for the alt's specific role (like tanking).

Tab 6: "Officers"
Condition to Public: Not Visible and No Allowance
This tab will be held for future purposes and can be used for "extra storage" of bank items, should it be needed.

Flux Guild Funds
Condition to Public: Available to Deposit, restricted to withdrawal
Flux Guild Fund will be opened to raid repairs for Flux Sponsored Raids. Attendees to a Flux-sponsored raid should be given the opportunity to contribute to Flux progression without worrying about breaking their precious piggy banks. If we keep our bank active, our reserve funds should not deteriorate and will sustain our raid repairs.

What guild members pick up in non-Flux-sponsored pugs are theirs to keep. However, any BOE, gems, or orbs dropped in Flux-sponsored raids belong to Flux and will be deposited in the appropriate tab. A Guild Officer or Raid Leader should be the one receiving these items and deposit them at the end of the raid. This rule does not cover dungeons and world drops, of course.

For any issues or situations not covered in this policy, the Guild Master will be consulted and his/her decission will be final and binding.

If you have any questions, please ask the Guild Banker or Guild Master.
